Tour of Triana

A taste of flamenco, backyard stories and tapas as you go.

We invite you to Triana - district on the other side of the Guadalquivir, which has always had its own character, pride and soul. This is where flamenco was born, where sailors, potters and artists lived.

We will start the walk by passing through Triana Bridge, which offers a picturesque view of the city skyline and the Golden Tower. We will stop at St Anne's Church - The oldest parish in Seville, known as the 'Cathedral of Triana'. We will also learn the secrets of corrales de vecinos - former community houses with inner courtyards, where life for generations took place. We will also take a look at the neighbourhood Mercado de Triana, a local market built on the ruins of the former headquarters of the Inquisition. This place is bustling with life and the smells of fresh produce. During the walk we will stop at tapas tasting in two local barshidden off the tourist trail. We will also learn the remarkable story of the sailors of the Triany, from the Monastery of Our Lady of Good Air, who sailed to the New World and left a very important mark all the way across the ocean. This is a tour full of flavour, stories and authentic atmosphere - ideal for those who want to experience the real, unembellished Seville.
