It is here, thanks to the unique climate, limestone soils <em>albariza<\/em> and white vine varieties <em>palomino fino<\/em>, one of Europe's most distinctive spirits is produced. The production of sherry dates back to Phoenician times and flourished during the reign of the Arabs and the era of the great sea voyages - when wine from Jerez was exported to England, Flanders and
